My theme looks broken after install?

Article Tools

A.There could be three reasons why your theme looks broken.

1) WordPress Search Widget.

Goto WP Dashboard -> Appearance -> Widgets. Find the “Search” Widget. You need to either define a “Title” for this widget or remove it.

2) jQuery Slider
If your theme was designed with an integrated slider, we recommend you turn it on. Follow this guide to setup your slider.

3) Do you have a theme with custom homepages?
Many of our themes come with custom homepage designs. This means your theme comes with two designs. A static frontpage design and also a dynamic blog layout design. In order to render these themes properly, you need to setup custom homepages.

If you install a theme without custom homepage support, but you have custom homepage options enabled/on, you need to switch it off to view your theme properly. To switch off custom homepages, goto Settings -> Reading -> Front page displays -> Select radiobox [Your latest posts]. If these options are not visible, it most likely indicates you have custom homepages disabled.
